I am very passionate about the work I do to further the cause for all Drug Courts.
Janine Hansen, LCSW, Program Manager for Court and Treatment Services at Criminal Justice Services in Salt Lake County.
Ms. Hansen has over 20 years working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; with 15 years of those twenty working with client's who have a Substance Use Disorder. Currently, Ms. Hansen provides programing and oversight of 5 Specialty Courts. They include 3 Drug Courts, Alternative Substance Addition Program, and Veterans Court. Ms. Hansen is an Adjunct Professor at Weber State University and has a small private practice. Ms. Hansen graduated from Holy Names University which is a sister school to UC Berkeley. While at UC Berkeley she participated in research on "The Effects of Divorce," and "The Use of Humor." Ms. Hansen was the only undergraduate chosen to present her research on "Repression" at the American Psychological Association National conference in 1991. Ms. Hansen received her MSW from Brigham Young University and is a Member of the National Honor Society; Psi Chi.
She feels her greatest accomplishment is having two sets of twins and being the mother of 5 boys.

Stepping Stones aspires to offer group therapy as it is one of the most successful elements of long-term recovery. With your help, we can offer: women's groups, men's groups, aftercare groups, parenting groups, life-skills groups, and peer-to-peer services.


Graduates of Drug Court and current participants organize regular social and family events, retreats, and activities which help people in recovery connect and have fun sober.
